About

I am a lecturer in early modern and contemporary English literature at Queen Mary University of London.  My research interests include poetry, ritual, embodiment,
dreams, theories of the imagination and the material conditions of writing, in seventeenth century and twenty-first century Britain and America.  I have also published three books of poems.

I am Director of the ‘Archive of the Now’ (http://www.archiveofthenow.com/), an online repository of contemporary poetry which includes recordings by over 100 poets reading their own work, and co-publisher of Barque Press (http://www.barquepress.com/).
